WORLD OF WARCRAFT

More than 11 million people regularly play, yes, play, World of Warcraft around the world. Some people have been stuck inside this virtual land for years, happily killing and looting others, joining others to make gangs and embark on quests. I’m not sure what it says about the real lives these people have (if they indeed have one at all) but hey, I’m not judging, just agreeing that it’s awesome, addictive and here are a few tips to make your World of Warcraft experiences even more satisfying.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT TIPS

  1. This is especially for beginners to World of Warcraft. We know you like to feel included and part of the whole thing, but it gets really annoying for those who are in the middle of serious business when people clog up the general chat board asking stupid questions about their quests, and won’t actually encourage people to join you when want to be in a group to explore with. So, here’s a great tip for you, READ YOUR QUEST JOURNAL. Yes, in there you’ll find all of the information you need about your quest, press “L” on the keyboard and all will be revealed. Read your quest journal – often!
  2. Another thing which really clogs up the general chat board is people asking for directions. You know when you were small your parents would say that if you ever get lost, ask a policeman for directions (well, mine did anyway), well, if you want to know where something is, ask the City Guards. They’ll tell you the way and even give you a little flag for your own mini-map.
  3. Use Auto-Run. This one might be pretty obvious, but you’d be surprised at how many people don’t think to use it. Press your Num Lock key for auto-run on long runs and this frees you up to chat with friends, read your quest journal or deal with lots of other pressing matters.
  4. Don’t bother with single quests, get as many as you can simultaneously. Whenever you enter a new map region, head first to the “main” town and speak to the NPC’s, get the quests and then go off exploring.
  5. One great way of saving loads of time is by Autolooting everything. Sounds a bit gruesome I know but hey, all’s fair in love and World of Warcraft, simply press shift + right click on a kill and you can autoloot them – alternatively you can turn looting to automatic on your interface menu.
